Claude + Qrblox

Use Qrblox with Claude — MCP QR codes

Add Qrblox as a custom Claude connector. Claude can then create QR codes, branded hex frames, menus, and scan reports for your merchant workspace.

Short answer

In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, add a custom connector named Qrblox, and paste https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1. Qrblox uses a Bearer sk-qrblox- key from https://app.qrblox.com/settings — put Authorization: Bearer sk-qrblox-… under Request headers. Then ask Claude to create a QR code. For a circular sticker, use the Qrblox round QR code generator.

How to connect

Mint a key, paste the real Qrblox MCP URL, then ask for a QR code.

Sign in to Qrblox

Sign in at https://app.qrblox.com with Google.

Mint a key

Open https://app.qrblox.com/settings and mint a sk-qrblox- key. Copy the value once.

Open Claude Connectors

In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors. Click + Add, then Add custom connector. (Team and Enterprise owners add connectors under Organization settings > Connectors: Add → Custom → Web.)

Paste the MCP URL

Enter the name Qrblox. Add the remote MCP server URL https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1. Click Continue.

Add the Bearer header

Review the authentication settings Claude detected. Qrblox authenticates with a Bearer API key, not OAuth. Under Request headers, add Authorization with the value Bearer sk-qrblox-… . Choose Authentication so Claude does not expect an OAuth sign-in (Anthropic’s “No sign in” option matches a fixed credential).

Add and enable the connector

Finish by clicking Add. Enable the connector in a conversation from the + button, then Connectors.

Ask Claude for a QR code

Ask Claude to create a QR code with Qrblox, or name the tool: use qrblox.qr.create for this URL.

Qrblox MCP server

Canonical URL: https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1. Send Authorization: Bearer sk-qrblox-.... Mint the key at https://app.qrblox.com/settings.

Cursor mcp.json

    "qrblox": {
      "url": "https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer sk-qrblox-..."
      }
    }
  }
}

Claude click path is from Anthropic’s custom connectors using remote MCP help article. Remote connectors work on Claude, Cowork, and Claude Desktop (Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise; Free is limited to one custom connector). Claude reaches https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1 from Anthropic’s cloud, not from your laptop.

On Team and Enterprise plans, a shared API key gives every member that key’s access. Mint a key limited to what members should do. Qrblox docs also publish the Cursor mcp.json block above for MCP clients that read a url plus headers.

Tools available

Example prompts

After the assistant can reach Qrblox MCP, ask for a website QR, a branded hex frame, a scan report — or send people to the round QR code generator for a circular sticker.

Website QR
“Use the Qrblox MCP server to create a QR code for https://example.com titled Homepage. Return the PNG URL.”
Round QR code
“I need a round QR code for a sticker that opens https://example.com. Create the destination with Qrblox if you can, then send me to the Qrblox round QR code generator at https://qrblox.com/round-qr-code-generator so the dots fill a circle.”

qrblox.qr.create can mint the destination and a PNG. Circular module styling is on the web generator, not a documented MCP template.

Branded QR
“Use Qrblox to create a branded QR for our lunch menu at https://example.com/menu. Title it Table 12 lunch menu. Use the hexSeal template and make it dynamic so we can re-point it later.”

Live qrblox.qr.create accepts template hexSeal or soundSeal, plus optional boostFrame and scanBeepSound.

Dynamic review QR
“Create a dynamic Qrblox QR for our Google review link. Title it Front door reviews. Return the PNG and the qrb.dev link.”
Scan report
“List my recent Qrblox QR codes and summarize scans for the last 30 days.”
Voice agent lookup
“Look up the Qrblox Voice Agent Phone Book listing for example.com.”

FAQ

What is the Qrblox MCP server URL?

The canonical URL is https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1. A Cursor / mcp-handler alias is https://api.qrblox.com/api/mcp. The live Express backend https://app.qrblox.com/api/mcp still works. Prefer the canonical URL in new clients. Machine-readable discovery is at https://api.qrblox.com/.well-known/mcp/server.json.

Do I need an API key?

Write tool calls require a sk-qrblox- key. Sign in at https://app.qrblox.com with Google, then mint a key at https://app.qrblox.com/settings. Send it as Authorization: Bearer sk-qrblox-… . Keys are shown once. On the live Express host, tools/list may work without a key; tools/call does not.

What can my assistant create with Qrblox?

Authenticated agents can create and list QR codes, update destinations, read scan analytics, create audio codes, menus, and scan challenges, and look up or register Voice Agent Phone Book listings. Confirm the live list with GET https://app.qrblox.com/api/mcp or tools/list.

Can ChatGPT or Claude make a round QR code?

They can create a Qrblox QR for your link via MCP. For a circular mark — dots filling a circle — use the free Qrblox round QR code generator at https://qrblox.com/round-qr-code-generator. The live MCP qr.create templates are hexSeal and soundSeal, not a circular module style.

Can I make a branded QR with an assistant?

Yes. Ask the assistant to call qrblox.qr.create with a template (hexSeal or soundSeal) or a boostFrame. You can also download a PNG from the website generators and save a dynamic, trackable code in Qrblox.

Which MCP URL should I paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor?

Use https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1. Cursor may also use https://api.qrblox.com/api/mcp. Do not invent another host. Brand is Qrblox. Keys are minted only at https://app.qrblox.com/settings.

Is the marketing site a QR-generation API?

No. qrblox.com is a marketing site plus a small public discovery API. Merchant automation uses sk-qrblox- keys and the hosted MCP server. See https://qrblox.com/developers and https://docs.qrblox.com/mcp.html.

Where do I add Qrblox inside Claude?

On Pro and Max plans: Customize > Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. Name it Qrblox, paste https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1, then add the Bearer key under Request headers. Team and Enterprise owners add the connector first under Organization settings > Connectors (Add → Custom → Web). Members then click Connect. Enable it per chat from the + button → Connectors.

Should I put the Qrblox URL in claude_desktop_config.json?

No. Anthropic’s remote MCP help article says claude_desktop_config.json is for local stdio servers. Remote Qrblox MCP is added as a custom connector so Claude reaches https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1 from Anthropic’s cloud. The mcp.json snippet on this page is the Cursor / local MCP-client config published in the Qrblox docs.
